The Corporation for National and Community Service is taking applications for its Volunteer Generation Fund, which was created in 2009 by the Edward Kennedy Serve America Act. The fund is designed to help local entities bolster the volunteer base for many projects and organizations in the area.
The funding notice places subtle priority with activities related to My Brother’s Keeper, the president’s initiative to assist young minority men, along with special initiatives of governors and mayors.
There is a match requirement of 20 percent for winners.
