Nia Dyer is from Fargo, North Dakota. At 8 years old, Dyer was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome. She entered the foster care system at 13 and was placed in seven different placements for four years. Her final placement resided in adult foster care where she waited until she could age out. At 18, Dyer moved into her very own apartment where she eventually started attending college online. She is now in her last few semesters before being able to move forward in her dream of working as an advocate for those in need. Dyer loves volunteering for animal rescues and supporting friends, family, and community.
