Joel Swazo

Joel Swazo is a 22-year-old graphic designer and social media manager, located in Los Angeles, California. Swazo was born in Denver, Colorado and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 10. At 14, he entered foster care and cycled through group homes and foster homes. He ended up aging out at 21. He is the first-generation high school graduate in his family. Swazo is a senior at Los Angeles City College, studying to get his associate’s degree in graphic design to also become the first-generation graduate from college in his family. In his free time, Swazo likes to collect shoes, hang out with his dogs, and skateboard.
