Grant Announced: February 13, 2013
The San Francisco Foundation’s Koshland Program has pledged to invest $300,000 in the Bay Point, California community over a five-year period. The Koshland program builds and supports local grass roots leaders who take on the most stubborn neighborhood problems. Local leaders will be selected to participate in a six-month leadership training program to become Koshland Fellows who will help residents develop a project that will address local quality of life issues.
The Bay Point area, a population of about 22,000 has one of the highest poverty and unemployment rates in the Bay Area.
