The Center for Juvenile Justice Reform at Georgetown University is accepting applications to its Multi-System Integration Certificate Program until the end of the month, March 28.
The idea of the program is to bring together current and future leaders to increase their knowledge about multi-system reform efforts related to crossover youth, a term used to describe youths who have been or are involved with both the child welfare and juvenile justice system.
The certificate program aims to help attendees improve the operation of their agencies or organizations in serving this population, provide an opportunity for the development of collaborative leadership skills, and create a mutually supportive network of individuals across the country committed to systems reform.
The certificate program used to be offered separately to applicants from public agencies and the private sector (nonprofits, faith-based groups, etc). This year, CJJR will conduct one program involving both groups.
As part of the program requirements, participants develop a Capstone Project. The Capstone Project is a set of actions each participant will design to initiate or continue multi-systems reform efforts during the twelve-month period following the completion of their Certificate Program session.
