Last month, the Congressional Caucus on Foster Youth held its fifth Listening Tour in Seattle, WA.
The visit, including Caucus co-founders Reps. Karen Bass (D-Calif.) and Jim McDermott (D-Wash.) alongside Rep. Dave Reichert (R-Wash.), was an opportunity to hear from stakeholders at all levels of the child welfare system and share notes on what they are doing well and how their efforts can be improved.
By the end of the tour, advocates of all ranks were challenged to rethink how they use data, judicial coordination and federal financing to support at risk and foster children.
