The Division of Child and Family Services is seeking proposals to provide community-based prevention-focused programs, and/or educational and/or service programs designed to strengthen and support families to prevent the occurrence or recurrence of child abuse and neglect.
Grant funds shall be used to develop, expand, or enhance primary prevention efforts that are available to all families, as well as secondary prevention efforts that target children and families at risk for abuse and neglect to prevent the occurrence of child abuse and neglect. In addition, funds shall be used to build the five key protective factors in families, demonstrate and promote a commitment to meaningful parent leadership, and provide early, comprehensive support for parents.
