The East Texas Council of Governments is seeking proposals to provide economically disadvantaged out-of-school youth, 14-21 with academic and employment assistance.
The projects must provide one or more of the allowable services offered through the Workforce Investment Act (WIA). These include:
- Tutoring, Study Skills Training, and Instruction
- Alternative Secondary School Services
- Work Experiences (WE) including paid, unpaid, internships, and job shadowing as appropriate
- Occupational Skills Training*
- Leadership Development Opportunities
- Adult Mentoring
- Comprehensive Guidance and Counseling
