The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) is soliciting proposals from Family Service Organization contractors to establish infrastructure for a system of care for the State of South Carolina, to serve as a source of information, training and support for families of children who have been identified with or are at risk of developing an emotional or behavioral disorder.
The target population is children and youth who have serious behavioral health challenges and who are most at risk of out of home placements. Additional services, including intensive family services, respite, parent and youth peer support, and mobile community crisis response and intervention, are targeted for implementation in the coming years.
