The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are accepting proposals from local health departments for the Preventing Teen Dating and Youth Centers for Disease Control and Prevention program.
Local health departments will:
- Implement prevention strategies using a multifaceted primary prevention approach.
- Enhance an existing city or county jurisdiction violence prevention or strategic plan.
- Develop and implement a process and outcome evaluation plan.
- Develop and initiate a sustainability plan.
Awardees are expected to implement prevention strategies based on the best available evidence that address shared risk and protective factors across multiple levels of the social ecological model.
Awardees must implement one prevention strategy at the individual or relationship level and one at the community level or a proposed novel prevention strategy.
