The New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) is seeking proposals for home visiting services in Oneida County.
Healthy Families New York Home Visiting is a voluntary comprehensive prevention program for expectant parents and families with infants.
The program promotes optimal prenatal care, better birth outcomes and positive growth and development in order to improve parent child bonding, maternal and child health and social outcomes for families at high risk of abuse or maltreatment and poor health outcomes.
The program provides intensive home visitation services bi-weekly during the prenatal period, weekly until the child is at least six months old, and periodically thereafter based on the needs of the family until the child begins school or Head Start.
