The New York State Pathways in Technology Early College High School (NYS P-TECH) program is seeking proposals to implement the program in underserved economic development regions of the State.
The model incorporates a six-year program that combines high school, college, and career training and will be targeted to academically at-risk, disadvantaged students.
Each partnership will include K-12, higher education, and business/employer partners. A New York State public school district must serve as the fiscal agent/applicant for each application.
Contractor responsibilities include:
- Cost-free education for grades 9-14, focused on the knowledge and skills students need for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) careers
- Mentoring, internships, and industry field trips
- Individualized academic support by K-12 and college faculty
