New Mexico Public Education Department is seeking proposals from school districts for the for Social Workers in Middle Schools Initiative.
The program places social workers in schools who do not currently have a funded social work position.
The social worker will work with students and families who need additional individualized support.
Tasks include (not limited to):
- Student assessments
- Individual, group and family counseling
- Home visits
- Social and emotional health and early intervention programs
