The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is soliciting proposals for Project AWARE.
Project AWARE is a grant that is intended to advance wellness and resilience in education that increases awareness
of mental health issues among school-aged youth.
Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers,
neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who
is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis.
This project is to secure the services of an organization to coordinate, facilitate, and host Youth Mental Health First
Aid (YMHFA) trainings within the grant requirements of Project AWARE.
