The Massachusetts Office for Refugees and Immigrants (ORI) seeks to procure Refugee Social Adjustment Services (SAS) designed to facilitate the short- and long-term social adjustment of refugees following their arrival to the United States. Funding made available through this procurement will support two SAS program components: (1) Refugee Community Services (RCS), and (2) Youth Adjustment Services (YAS).
ORI will be seeking responses from Bidders for the provision of SAS in regions of Massachusetts that continue to experience significant resettlement of refugees, including the metropolitan areas of Boston, Lowell, Lynn, Worcester and Springfield.
The Office for Refugees and Immigrants’ mission is to promote the full participation of refugees and immigrants in the economic, civic, social, and cultural life of the Commonwealth; and to foster a public environment that recognizes and supports the ethnic and cultural diversity of the state. As the State Refugee Coordinator’s Office, ORI administers the Massachusetts Refugee Resettlement Program (MRRP), which provides a comprehensive range of services to refugees in Massachusetts.
The Refugee Social Adjustment Services (SAS) procured through this Request for Response (RFR) is a service component of the MRRP, a Wilson/Fish Alternative Project funded through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services/Administration for Children and Families/Office of Refugee Resettlement and administered by the Massachusetts Office for Refugees and Immigrants (ORI).
ORI currently seeks responses from bidders for the provision of Refugee Social Adjustment Services in regions of Massachusetts that continue to experience significant resettlement of refugees, including the metropolitan areas of Boston, Lowell, Lynn, Worcester and Springfield.
Funding is available for the following program categories of Refugee Social Adjustment Services:

- Youth Adjustment Services (YAS)
The purpose of Social Adjustment Services (SAS) is to facilitate the short- and long-term social adjustment of refugees following their arrival to the United States. The SAS Program supports employability services and other services that address barriers to employment such as:
- Social adjustment
- Interpretation and translation
- Day care for children
