The Lennar Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Lennar Corporation, is accepting proposals for their Focused Acts of Caring Grants.
These private grants help children and families in need. The Lennar Foundation sponsors grants in communities where homebuilder Lennar Corp. has operations. The primary mission of the foundation is to fund organizations that assist disadvantaged people and support programs for children and the homeless.
For example, the foundation gave $20,000 to the Mustard Seed School in Sacramento, which offers classes to homeless children, and $540,000 to Hillview Acres Children’s Home, Chino, Calif., for general support. Each year, Lennar Corp. donates 1% of after-tax net profit to the Lennar Foundation — which then gives at least 50% in philanthropic efforts.
