The Office of Policy and Management (OPM) and its Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee (JJAC) are offering the Police and Youth Program again for 2016/2017.
Local public agencies are eligible to apply for one-time funding of up to $10,000 to increase or enhance opportunities for youth and police to work together to benefit their community. The typical project will have an early team-building component for the officers and youth, a series of activities that are enjoyable for both groups and that provide opportunities for police and youth to interact, a joint community service project that benefits the community, and a concluding recognition event.
