The Alameda County Social Services Agency is seeking contractors to provide youth with education and employment services.
The Summer and After School Youth Employment and Education Program (SASYEP) is for Alameda County child welfare-involved youth and young adults ages 14-21.
The purpose of this youth employment and education program is to enhance the well-being and increase the self-sufficiency of transition-age youth.
The contractor shall provide employment and career skills development services through workshops, exploratory activities, internships and part- or full-time supportive employment.
Educational services include academic tutoring, credit recovery participation and testing, GED preparation and testing, applying to college and financial aid, PSAT/SAT/ACT preparation and testing, summer school or college classes (non-mandatory), and academic counseling including college readiness assessments.
