The Sacramento Employment and Training Agency is soliciting proposals for WIOA services for youth.
WIOA youth programs are intended to provide a rich array of age-appropriate services that target economically disadvantaged youth aged 16-24who face barriers to staying in school or to finding stable employment. These services are available not only to high school students (in-school youth), but also to out-of-school youth who 1) have dropped out of school and are interested in furthering their education and preparing for the workforce, or 2) have earned a high school diploma or GED, but are unemployed, underemployed or deficient in basic skills.
Services include(not limited to):
- alternative/secondary school completion services
- mentoring
- secondary
- Summer and year round employment opportunities
- guidance and counseling
- financial literacy
- career counseling
- support services
