Shasta County, Health and Human Services Agency (“HHSA”), is seeking proposals to provide Visitation Services and Parenting Classes to HHSA clients.
Providing visitation services for Parents and their children referred to the Contractor by County.
Implementing an individualized purposeful and progressive visitation plan for each Parent in collaboration with the case-carrying County Social Worker.
Provide parenting classes to parents involved in the supervised visitation program.
Classes include (not limited to):
-Handling stress and anger
-The growth and development of children
-Developing and increasing communication skills
-Learning to use positive disciplinary mechanisms
-Respect for, and sensitivity to, cultural differences in child rearing practices
-A substance use educational component
-Review of the definitions and dynamics of child abuse, neglect, and domestic violence and its effects on children
