The School-Linked Services (SLS) plan focuses specifically upon improving educational outcomes for children in high risk/high need areas of the County. During the six-month planning process, a comprehensive analysis of root causes of poor school outcomes and a review of best practice models provided a context for the focus of the initiative going forward. Children are thriving at home, in school, and in their communities through the care and nurturance of families who love them; and through responsive, effective, and coordinated support available from the schools, system services, and community resources that surround them. Social Services Agency’s unique contribution to the School-Linked Services Plan centers on the mission of the Agency to provide services and supports to the community that enhance self-sufficiency, safety, and well-being for the County’s most vulnerable residents.
