The County of Humboldt is seeking an entity or entities to provide Intensive Home Based Services (IHBS) to a subclass of the foster care population known as the Katie A. subclass. IHBS is an EPSDT Specialty Mental Health Service (SMHS) designed to teach skills to children/youth and their families, or significant support persons, using mental health rehabilitative skill-based intervention activities in the home or in the most home-like setting available.
IHBS requires working collaboratively with all members of the Child and Family Team (CFT) in providing mental health rehabilitation interventions that are individualized, strength-based and needs-driven. These intervention activities will support the engagement and participation of the child/youth, family, and significant support persons, while helping them develop essential skills to enhance well-being, achieve the goals and objectives of their plan, and successfully transition out of the child welfare system.
