Yolo County is seeking proposals to provide In Home Family Life Skills.
The contractor shall perform in home family parenting and life skills services using programs that are evidence-based or evidence-informed.
Family-centered parent training programs focus on parent education, family skills training and family activities to help children and parents communicate effectively and take advantage of concrete social supports.
Programs should include direct, hands-on assistance in learning and practicing basic life skills that will enable parents to keep their children healthy and safe in their home.
These programs should include one-on-one instruction and coaching in the home and in the community with modules such as, but not limited to: making the home safe and clean; developing time management skills; making budgets; and, improving parenting skills while offering time for parents to practice new skills with their children during parent training sessions.
