The Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Services Department (BHSD) is seeking proposals for the following services:
a. Therapeutic Foster Care – For a Foster Family Agency (FFA) to provide clinical oversight and management for mental health services provided to children/youth in Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC). TFC has yet to be fully defined by the State and therefore contract agreements with selected vendors will not be executed until the State provides formal guidance related to defined modes of service.
b. Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Programs – Provide behavioral health services required by children and youth placed in Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Programs (STRTP). The RFP will identify vendors who can offer STRTPS to serve specific target populations in need of residential care. In a broad sense, there is a need to clearly identify STRTP’s that are able to receive and work with (1) DFCS Dependents only, (2) Probation Wards only, and (3) Dually Involved Youth (DIY) that are youth involved with both child welfare and Probation systems.
See Attachments A1, and/or A2 “Statement of Work” for a detailed description of each program’s specifications and requirements. Potential vendors may apply for one or more of the programs listed in the Attachments.
This RFP may result in the award of multiple Agreements.”
