Southern California Grantmakers LA County Child Welfare Collaborative Meeting

The Center for Strategic Public-Private Partnership and SCG invite you to attend the next SCG LA County Child Welfare Collaborative meeting.

This convening and future meetings of the Collaborative will be led by Kate Anderson (@kateanderson), Director for the Center for Strategic Public-Private Partnerships in LA County, in partnership with SCG.

Join us for an introduction to the work of the newly established Center and share your input as we work toward high impact collaboration between philanthropy and the Office of Child Protection.

The program will also feature a unique opportunity to hear from the Director of the Los Angeles County Office of Child Protection, Judge Michael Nash.

In conversation with Daniel Heimpel (@dheimpel), Executive Director of Fostering Media Connections, Judge Nash will share his vision and strategy for the Office.

Finally, we will have an opportunity to engage with Brandon Nichols, the newly appointed Chief Deputy of the LA County Department of Children and Family Services.

Please join us as we explore new challenges and potential partnerships for our most vulnerable youth and families.

Who May Participate:
Open to all SCG members who fund in the area of child welfare initiatives and are interested in working with Los Angeles County Department of Children & Family Services to improve the foster care system.
