NVIDIA, a California-based artificial intelligence company that offers employees up to 20 weeks of paid parental leave and assists employees financially with the costs of adoption, has again been deemed to be the most adoption-friendly employer in America.
The company has for the second year in a row topped the 100 Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces list, which was announced by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption (DTFA). The annual report highlights organizations across the country that support their employees who grow their families through foster care and adoption.
“NVIDIA recognizes that families are built in many ways, but they all share the common bond of love. We are excited to be recognized by the Foundation for the second year in a row,” said Beau Davidson, vice president of employee experience at NVIDIA, in a press release.
Since the Adoption-Friendly Workplaces list was started in 2006, the number of companies offering benefits related to foster care and adoption has grown exponentially.
“We are so pleased to see a growing number of employers recognize the importance of supporting families formed through adoption,” said foundation CEO Rita Soronen, in a press release. “Congratulations to all the organizations on this year’s list, and thank you for sharing our belief that every child deserves a permanent home and loving family.”
Rounding out the top five this year was American Express (the winner in 2017); Capital One Financial; the investment firm Liquidnet Holdings; and the law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP.
